The Overwatch World Cup got underway this weekend, with the Asian Group Stages taking part in Shanghai, although the competitive Overwatch Pro Gaming League is still struggling to get off the ground. The timing then seems perfect for F2P competitor Paladins to try to beat them to the punch! Hi-Rez Studios have announced a new tournament series, not quite on the same scale as the PGL but still with a decent total of $350,000 prize money available. It’s the largest Paladins tournament to date, with ten spread across ten months and seven continents. Each of these individual events will have an open bracket to determine 8 finalist who will then compete for $35,000 available in each individual tournament. More information will be released in the run-up to the kick-off on August 1st, and you can find out all the information available so far on the Facebook page.
