Leaks are not uncommon for big AAA game releases, especially with E3 being just around the corner. However it looks like we’re in for a first as details around the new Assassin’s Creed game appear to have been leaked via an item of clothing. A T-Shirt, first found on NeoGAF, appears to show an image of a new character, apparently named Bayek, who can be seen wearing the familiar assassin’s hood, armed with a bow, shield and the famous gauntlets.
The image matches up with a long-rumoured Egyptian setting for the newest entry into the long running series, thought to be a prequel. This is further backed up by what looks like an Eye of Horus interwoven with the Assassin’s symbol in the bottom right, and the image of a scarab beetle in the background of the t-shirt. The rumoured picture we have is of a prequel (a first for the series) set in Ancient Egypt named Assassin’s Creed: Origins, due to be released later this year on all major platforms. We’re expecting a full reveal at E3 this year.
