City builders continue to dominate much of the modern gaming niche, but it’s a rare thing to be constructing environments designed for dinosaurs rather than people. At Gamescom earlier this year, Frontier Developments announced that we’d have the opportunity soon enough in Jurassic World Evolution, and now we’ve got access to some footage made entirely from the in-game engine to allow us to appreciate the beauty of these majestic animals.
Frontier have a strong pedigree for this kind of game, having already worked on Planet Coaster as well as their more famous juggernaut that is Elite Dangerous. Jurassic World Evolution allows players to construct and manage their own park, bio-engineering new breeds, building new attractions and trying to keep all the inhabitants of the park happy. It’s due out in the summer of 2018, coincidentally around the same time the next Jurassic World movie will be in cinemas. Check out the video for yourself below.
