Over the weekend, the developers at Eve Online unveiled the latest expansion to the game’s vast player-led universe. Titled “Lifeblood”, its due out on October 24th and will be free like all previous Eve expansions. There’s a big focus on the growth of moon mining capabilities alongside the new Refinery structure, which should swap the activity over from being a passive background task to “an active form of gameplay that promotes collaboration and conflict.”
There’s a whole bunch of ships to the balance and other gameplay shifts, but the addition of Capsuleers to fight against marauding pirate ships from the new Forward Operating Bases and reap the rewards is a very appealing new shift to support the new Refinery led economy.
